HANGING IN THERE ...

ok so i still miss my computer, more specifically my internet access at home .. i had hoped to have it resolved by now but i don't think that will be happening anytime soon .. at least not until i get another job & can pay for it myself .. you know sometimes you just can't rely on other people ..

anyhoo, i just wanted to take a hot minute to say hi to everybody .. i get online a lot more sporadically than i used to & then it's to look for a job so i have been missing out on my blog world .. unfortunately i haven't had the opportunity to read many blogs so surely i'm a bit behind w/everyone .. i hope i can catch up soon .. for now i just wanted to take my easter background off & change the birthday countdown as well as give a brief update ..

things are good for us .. we just celebrated birthdays .. Ethan turned five, which blows my mind, and he's l♥ving it! he had his Mickey Mouse party & it was great! everyone had a good time .. now everything is "i can ... b/c i'm five" or "i am ... b/c i'm five" etc .. and all he talks about is how he can go to school now b/c he is five .. oh how i hope he stays excited about that .. we'll see in the fall ;)

other than that my life consists of looking for a job .. i am enjoying the time off as much as possible .. i hope everyone is doing well & i'll check back in as soon as i can .. take care & enjoy yourselves .. l♥ve y'all!!

WOW .. WHAT'S YET TO COME WAS BETTER LEFT ALONE ..

ok so when i said what's yet to come i was merely speaking of the weekend and i was hoping for only fun .. little did i know what was really to come .. yesterday afternoon i was laid off from my job so i will be out of touch for a while since that was my online connection .. i am hoping to have internet at home w/in a week or so but i never know what will really happen .. hope i won't be gone from the blog world for too long but i'll miss y'all in the meantime .. take care & pray for me if you can .. love ya!!  (i'm on my sisters computer so i don't know how to do my hearts :( oh well)

THE GOOD, THE BAD & WHAT'S YET TO COME ..

ok so let's start w/the good .. go HERE to check out my good news .. or if you're lazy i can just tell you that i won my second blog giveaway .. i can't believe it .. i never win .. well, guess i can't say that anymore .. so now i have another book coming in the mail .. oh how i l♥ve good mail .. anything other than bills & junk .. =D .. this book is called "How To Mess Up Your Child's Life:Proven Strategies & Practical Tips" & it's supposed to be humorous as well, guess you could tell that from the title .. anyhoo, i am looking forward to reading it .. i'll try to remember to post about it after i finish ..

now for the bad .. yesterday i had to leave work early .. my son fell and ended up burning his two little hands on the heater at my family's house .. fortunately it was mostly first degree w/only a couple spots of second degree burns so we were blessed b/c relatively speaking it was minor .. he was such a trooper .. good thing for me he actually likes going to the doctor b/c he knows they make him feel better .. she gave us an antibiotic salve to use & we wrapped the bandage around it b/c let's face it he is only four (at least for two more weeks) .. i'm so grateful that he stays w/our family during the day and not at daycare .. i never have to worry about him .. i know he is well taken care of no matter what ..

so what's yet to come .. i have no idea .. i know i have an hour left of work and it's friday .. i am looking forward to my weekend off and happy that it falls on Easter weekend as well as my nephew's birthday .. still bummed that I don't have internet at home & that i can't put any pictures up for you but i will .. just think, one of these days you'll have all these pictures to catch up on .. i don't know about you but i l♥ve looking at pictures so that would be a wonderful day for me ..

oh well .. hope y'all are doing well! hope everyone enjoys Easter weekend as much as i plan to! take care & i'll catch up w/you next week!

CHANGED AGAIN ..

ok so i had to change it all again .. i like the three columns but it just wasn't working right .. it's ok, i like this Easter back ground better & it only works w/two columns .. plus there's LOTS of ♥purple♥ which is my favorite color .. of course after this weekend i'll have to change again but that's ok, it'll give me something to do again ..

i'm looking forward to this weekend .. fortunately my weekend off happens to be this weekend, Easter weekend .. yahoo! we will be going to our church easter egg hunt, coloring easter eggs, hopefully getting pictures taken w/the Easter bunny (since we never got Christmas pictures done this past year, shh!), spending Easter day w/our family, celebrating my nephew's bday on Monday .. lots of fun stuff ..

hope everyone else has lots of fun in store as well .. so i know it's still a few days early but

NEW BACKGROUND & LAYOUT .. WHATCHA THINK??

ok so i had to fix my three countdown widgets b/c they said error undefined & just wouldn't work .. it took me a while to make them work, even on the website, but i was determined .. at first i thought maybe it was their error but then i saw one that was working so i just changed the info and used it .. that's why you may see some weird countdown to dead tickets or something when it's first loading .. just ignore it ..

i changed the background to Easter FINALLY .. i realized what i kept doing wrong the few times i tried before .. remember airhead here .. i also changed it to three column which i think i like better .. i'm just not sure w/this background how well the words & posts show up .. i don't know .. check it out and tell me what you think about it .. leave me a comment w/your thoughts .. should i keep it or change it?

and FINALLY FINALLY less than an hour left of my workday .. whew!! it's been rather slow today which is why i've had plenty of time to make adjustments to my blog ;)


P.S. ~ i changed the coloring so i think it looks better and it's easier to read but i'd still like to know what you think ..

FRIDAY AGAIN?!?!

ok where does the time go?? it's been another week already & i haven't been around very much in the blog world .. miss y'all .. i really miss my internet at home!

my weekend off was absolutely wonderful .. i did get to spend time w/my friend & it was very nice .. my son was so well behaved ALL weekend that i thought maybe someone had replaced him .. ok, j/k but seriously it was not his normal self & i enjoyed it .. we had great times together .. of course it didn't last forever but that's ok .. this week has been better ..

and i'm always glad it's friday but today not as much as last week .. i work tomorrow so i'm only off on sunday & back to work on monday .. crazy schedule i know but i keep reminding myself to be grateful i have a job .. could be worse ..

OH .. here's some exciting news .. i just won my first blog giveaway from Carrie over at money saving methods .. so now i get to look forward to receiving Facebook for Dummies .. always nice to learn new things & i thought my mom might like to look at it .. of course it'll be even better when i can get on fb again & actually use something i learn but i'll be patient (i can't get on fb at work & no internet at home so ....)

FINALLY FRIDAY!!!

i am soooooooooooooooooooo happy it's friday!!!! it's been a VERY LONG week so i'm looking forward to my weekend off .. hoping to go hang out w/a girlfriend and of course i'll be spending lots of time w/my son .. we have some talking to do, he's been in too much trouble lately .. always something ..
